All the upcoming hikes are listed below. Just choose what date and distance fits you best, and sign up for one or more hikes. The cost of joining a hike is €12. You will receive a payment link not later than the Monday before a hike. A few days before a hike, you will receive an email with more information about the hike, where we will meet exactly and tips on what to bring.

Saturday, January 3 – New Year’s Hike De Vuursche #2 (13 km) – Hollandsche Rading to Baarn
Please note: this hike follows the same trail as the hike below, but in opposite direction. There will be two groups hiking on the same day, meeting each other in the middle.
This hike in the forests of De Vuursche and Baarn offers a lot of variation in landscape over mostly unpaved paths. We will take a break at restaurant De Bosrand – to warm up and to have lunch. The hike starts at train station Hollandsche Rading and ends at train station Baarn. Both train stations can be reached from Utrecht Centraal.
Meeting time and place: we will meet at 10.00am at train station Hollandsche Rading.
The cost of this hike is €12. You will receive a payment link not later than the Monday before the hike.

Saturday, January 3 – New Year’s Hike De Vuursche #1 (13 km) – Baarn to Hollandsche Rading – FULL
Start the year well with a winter hike in the forests of Baarn and Lage Vuursche. This hike in the province of Utrecht offers a lot of variation in landscape over mostly unpaved paths. We will take a break at restaurant De Bosrand – to warm up and to have lunch. The hike starts at train station Baarn and ends at train station Hollandsche Rading. Both train stations can be reached from Utrecht Centraal.
Meeting time and place: we will meet at 10.15am at train station Baarn.
The cost of this hike is €12. You will receive a payment link not later than the Monday before the hike.

Saturday, January 24 – Winter Hike Meijendel (13 km)
This hike starts at Den Haag Centraal station and will pass through the Haagse Bos, then Park Clingendael and eventually reaches the beautiful dunes of Meijendel. We will take a break at Boerderij Meijendel, to warm up with a hot chocolate or coffee. The hike ends in Wassenaar, where a bus will take us back to Den Haag.
Meeting time and place: we will meet at 10am at Den Haag Centraal train station.

Saturday, February 14 – Nature Hike Vlietlanden (16 km)
This hike from Maassluis to Vlaardingen, just west of Rotterdam, will surprise you. The trail passes through De Vlietlanden, a beautifully conserved area with lots of water. We will also visit the Broekpolder forest and the Krabbeplas – looking for the first signs of spring along the way.
Meeting time and place: we will meet at 10am subway station Maassluis Centrum. The hike ends at subway station Vlaardingen West.
The cost of this hike is €12. You will receive a payment link not later than the Monday before the hike.

How it works
When you sign up for a hike, you will be placed on the list of participants. Not later than the Monday before the hike, you will receive a payment link. Once I have received the payment, your booking is confirmed.
About three days before the hike, you will receive an email with all the information you need. I will let you know where and when we will start and finish, give you advice on what to bring and anything else you might need to know.
On the day of the hike, we will meet at the starting point, or travel there together, depending on where you live and what you prefer. The group will not be bigger than 20 people. We will hike together, taking time to enjoy nature, the landscape and each other’s company.
The end point of the hike is either the same as the beginning, or in a different location. All locations can be reached by public transport. From the end of the hike, we travel back home.
Cancellations
Any hike may be cancelled due to bad weather (e.g. rain the whole day or storm). In that case, you will get a full refund. If you need to cancel your participation in the hike, you may do so up to 48h before the start of the hike to get a full refund. Cancellations later than that will not be refunded.
