You will get to experience the beauty of this area in all seasons, as we will walk stages of the trail in autumn, spring and summer. The first stage is planned for September 19, 2026. The exact dates of the stages in 2027 will be published later. The full trail is shown in the picture below.

March 2027 – Woudenberg to Maarn (22 km)

In the early spring of 2027, we will pick up the trail where we left it in September. Starting in Woudenberg, we will walk to Maarn, via Austerlitz. It will not be the shortest way from A to B, but rather the most beautiful.

May 2027 – Maarn to Leersum (24 km)

A forest in May looks and sounds very different from a forest in March! Trees will be covered in fresh foliage and birds will be singing to secure a mate or to defend their territory. This stage of the trail takes us from Maarn to Leersum over a distance of 24 km.

Distance: 24 km

Altitude difference: 337 m

July 2027 – Leersum to Rhenen (21 km)

This last stage of the trail brings us from Leersum all the way to Rhenen. In the summer month of July, it will be nice to walk in the forest, protected from sunlight and heat by the cover of the trees.

Distance: 21 km

Altitude difference: 298 m
